A new foundation takes the construction of the Neratovice church under its wing

Neratovice – The Neratovice Community Center Foundation was established in Neratovice in cooperation with the Prague Archdiocese. The foundation will manage the construction of the church and rectory in the Neratovice parish. Neratovice is known as a "town without a church," but that could soon change. By supporting the foundation, not only a church for believers to meet will be created, but also a multifunctional center.

The establishment of the Neratovice Community Center Foundation is a return to tradition and is inspired by similar projects from the past. Historically, churches, not only in the Prague Archdiocese, were built by foundations established by the faithful for this purpose. The foundation's supervisory and administrative boards include representatives of the Neratovice parishioners, who are taking on a large part of the responsibility for its activities and the entire church construction project.

A Town Without a Church For the citizens of Neratovice, the missing church is a painful point, and the parish has long sought to build one. The town became famous due to the chemical industry, and its prefab apartment blocks pay tribute to the normalization era. The communists intentionally built Neratovice as a "town without a church." The absence of a church is thus a sad reminder of the communist regime. And that can change.

Life Around the Church The goal of the Neratovice parishioners, as evident from the name of the newly formed foundation, is not only to build a church dedicated to the Holy Trinity but to build an entire multifunctional center where cultural and social events will be held in addition to services. Concerts, exhibitions, and weddings are planned here. The surrounding playground and experience trail will serve as a place for recreation. Such a socio-cultural center is desperately missing in the town. The church and rectory will stand in a currently neglected part of the town, helping, among other things, to cultivate the area.

By Supporting the Foundation, You Support Construction and Repairs The purpose of the foundation is not only the construction of the church and rectory but also the maintenance, restoration, repair, and operation of the center. The foundation will also support parish activities, which will include everything mentioned above. The Neratovice parishioners have been working on the project for several years, and it is actively supported by, for example, MEP Tomáš Zdechovský or director Jiří Strach. To date, an incredible 1,213,610 CZK has been collected for the construction of the church and rectory.
