Odolena Voda parish pilgrimage (May 1, 2026): A strong gesture of solidarity with Neratovice
On May 1, 2026, the parish of Odolena Voda made a pilgrimage to Neratovice, the main purpose of which was to express support for and solidarity with the Neratovice parish and the construction of Holy Trinity Church and the Cardinal Josef Beran Community Center.
The pilgrimage culminated in a joint pilgrimage Mass in St. Adalbert's Chapel, which became not only the main spiritual event of the day but also a visible sign of fellowship between the parishes. In this way, the parish of Odolena Voda supported the vibrant community in Neratovice, which meets regularly and nurtures a rich spiritual and community life, yet still has no dignified space of its own in which to gather.
The support of the Odolena Voda parish takes three concrete forms - shared prayer, a collection at the services on Sunday, May 17, and a financial contribution from the parish budget, the amount of which will be decided by the parish economic council.
Construction of the church in Neratovice is already underway, but it is also extremely demanding financially. Faith in itself is a firm foundation, but bringing this work to completion also requires material resources and concrete help. That is why the support of other parishes and people of goodwill plays such a key role.
The pilgrimage from Odolena Voda is therefore not just a one-time event, but a powerful expression of solidarity that helps turn an idea into reality – a church and community center as a meeting place for people of goodwill from Neratovice and the wider area.
