President Petr Pavel and Archbishop Stanislav Přibyl visit the construction site of the new church and community center in Neratovice
The construction of the new Holy Trinity Church and the Cardinal Josef Beran Community Center in Neratovice welcomed distinguished visitors. President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel came to the construction site together with the newly appointed Archbishop Stanislav Přibyl. They were accompanied by representatives of the Neratovice Community Center Foundation, the project's architect Zdeněk Fránek, and representatives of HSF System, PURPOSIA Group and Coral Construction Technologies.
The visit was an opportunity to present not only the current state of construction but, above all, the idea and mission of the project, which is meant to serve in the future as a spiritual, cultural and community center for the entire region.
A place for future generations
During the tour, the guests learned about the history of the project, its architectural design and the vision behind it. The presentation included the story of more than a decade of effort by the local parish and the Foundation to build a space that will meet the needs of today's society while creating a dignified home for future generations.
As was noted during the meeting, only a few years ago the site of today's construction was a neglected and unused space. Today, a unique work is taking shape here, one that brings together architecture, modern technology and community life.
The project responds not only to the long-standing absence of a church in Neratovice, but also to the need for high-quality public space for meeting, education, cultural events and everyday community life.
Architecture that connects
The project's architect, Zdeněk Fránek, introduced the visitors to the fundamental idea of the building and its symbolism. The church and the community center are designed as two interconnected buildings that together form a single harmonious whole.
The future complex will include not only a liturgical space but also a multipurpose hall, spaces for education, a café, facilities for clubs and associations, and a rectory. The aim is to create a place that will naturally serve the general public regardless of age or life circumstances.
Technology of the future on the construction site
Demonstrations of 3D concrete printing, which is being actively tested on the project, also attracted great interest. The guests were able to view samples of elements created with this technology and learn about its potential use in building the rectory and the bell tower.
It is precisely this combination of traditional sacred architecture with the most advanced construction methods that places the project among the most interesting contemporary buildings of its kind. 3D printing technology makes it possible to create shapes and structural elements that would be difficult to achieve with conventional methods, while also opening up new possibilities for more efficient construction.
A work made possible by collaboration
During the visit, it was repeatedly emphasized that the project is not merely the construction of a new church. It is the result of collaboration among many people, organizations and partners who share a common vision of creating a new center of community life in Neratovice.
The parish, the Foundation, experts in architecture and construction, technology partners, volunteers and hundreds of individual donors are all taking part in bringing it to life. It is their support that allows the project to gradually take concrete shape.
For the whole project, the visit of the President of the Republic and the Archbishop is a significant recognition of the work done so far and, at the same time, an encouragement for the next stages of construction.
