THE ARCHITECTURAL AND ARTISTIC STYLE OF THE HOLY TRINITY CHURCH IS INSPIRED BY THE HOLY TRINITY.

At entrance, drawing attention is a 4-part window symbolising the 4 scriptures being the roads to the understanding of Jesus Christ. One set of doors leads to the hall and common rooms, door on the opposite side leads to the central area of the church.

The main body of the proposed church is reminiscent of an ark, the tower of a figure leaning towards the ark. The unconventional curve of the tower and its connection with the main body references gothic sculptures of Madonna cradling her child.

THE BUILDING EMBODIES THE SPIRITUAL COMMUNITY OF THE PLACE. BY ITS ARCHITECTURE IT POINTS TO THE DYNAMICS OF THE HISTORY THAT HAS INFLUENCED EVERYBODY UP UNTIL TODAY AND THAT ALSO INFLUENCED THE LIFE BATTLES AND PATRIMONY OF CARDINAL BERAN.

The tower – the point of its connection with the main body references gothic sculptures of Madonna cradling her child.

UNIQUE SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE

The light entering the room is a natural symbol of the holy spirit filling the space of the sanctuary and the bodies of all those who are present.

The rays of sunlight gradually touch every corner of the space throughout the day and lighten it with their presence.

At the periphery of the shrine, there is a step-free pathway spiralling up and symbolizing the human life growing between the Earth and the Sky. The path grants access to the service rooms, designated for meetings.

The function of gothic arches referencing Christ and being decorated by his effigy is in this case taken over by the window, that provides a clear view of the sky.

THE WINDOWS IN THE COATING, THE BENCHES AT THE FOOT OF THE ARK AND THE OPEN SPACE SURROUNDING THE STRUCTURE ADD ANOTHER DIMENSION – OPENNESS, UNBOUNDEDNESS, AND OPEN-MINDEDNESS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
